Hawaii State Archives Name IndexThe Hawaii State Archives Name Index is an index by personal or business name to records and letterbooks of Hawaii Interior Department and Foreign Office and Executive, some private collections, library books, pamphlets, broadsides, newspapers and periodicals. It is most complete for the Interior Department and the Foreign Office and Executive records. Newspapers (1836-1950) include the Advertiser, Star Bulletin, Polynesian, Hawaiian Gazette, and the Friend, but none of them are completely indexed. Presently only the names Aalona to Brown, Cecil are in this collection. More name index entries will be added every month until done.
