When searching for information for your assignments, don't just pick the first site you find. So much of the information on the Internet is not credible. Use the CRAAP Test to evaluate your website and make sure you are only using credible sources.
Use this sheet when you are ready to evaluate your source. You may encounter exceptions to the rule and some sources may be more difficult to evaluate than others. Ask your instructor or librarian for assistance if you have difficulty evaluating a source.
CRAAP is the acronym for the five criteria used to evaluate the credibility of sources.
Use the CRAAP test to evaluate the books and articles you find through the library's catalog and research databases and especially for sources found on the Web.
