The library offers services and resources to students who cannot conveniently come to the library in-person.
Assistance from a reference librarian is available by telephone at (808) 455-0379, e-mail at lccref@hawaii.edu, or online chat(opens new window). You can also make an appointment with a librarian.
The library has a broad collection of research databases and online collections. See the Library Research Center page for tips and guidance on using our online resources to find information.
See the full A-Z list of databases.
Our online resources are accessible to students who are not on campus, but you will need to log in with your UH username and password. If you have difficulty accessing our databases, please see our troubleshooting page.
For more information about services for DE students, see the college's Distance Education – Student Resources page.
The student ID card serves as your library card at all University of Hawaiʻi system libraries (although any government-issued photo ID will work, a little less conveniently). If you are unable to visit either the Pearl City campus or Waiʻanae Moku Education Center to get a card, contact the Student Life office to inquire about obtaining a student ID card.
