Library Services: For the General Public

General Public

The public is welcome to visit the library.  Please understand that this is not a public library, and our services and collections are focused on serving the needs of the college's students, faculty, and staff.

Members of the public can purchase a UH Libraries Community Borrower Card, which gives limited book borrowing privileges at most UH libraries. Reduced rates for those 60 or older; free for qualifying UH retirees. See Appendix II of the UH Libraries Circulation Policy for more information.

Visitors should know about library policies governing appropriate behavior and proper use of facilities, resources, and services.

Information about the Hawaiʻi State Public Library System is available on its website.
